Night Ride in MY clean, not muddy Jeep!

Poor Meredith. Her bottom went through this... Thanks to Wayne. I turned to take a picture of her sitting there, but I decided to be nice!
September 20th was the opening day of dove season. The Matheson family had a small get together with family and a few friends. I didn't get any hunting pictures, but it was an eventful day. The boys had to play "my truck is better than your truck" which was started by Matt daring Kolby, and 8 year old, to take a 4-wheeler through the mud. Then Matt took Bobby's truck, and Kolby went again, then Wayne and Bobby had to try too. They tried to get me to take my Hummer through, but I had nothing to prove! (and I didn't want to make Mr. Matheson mad). Matt was given strict orders not to take my Jeep through! It was a fun afternoon though.

NEW

New Husband! New Name! New House! New Family! New Blog! There's lots of new happening!

I love reading blogs and keeping up with friends and family this way! I decided to try one of my own. I might get frustrated with this internet connection and quit, but I'm going to give it a whirl. My life isn't quite as exciting as some others with new babies and with new ones on the way. Its just me and Matt and our little house!

Back to the NEW!

Matt and I were married on August 5, 2008 on St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands at Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church. My matron of honor was my sister Amber. Matt's sister, Meredith was a bridesmaid. The best man was Matt's brother, Mark. Cuatro, my brother, was a groomsman. Mattie, Meredith and Wayne's little girl was our flower girl. She is adorable. Definately the cutest little flower girl ever. (She was 14 months at the time!) My brother-in-law, Walon, and Matt's brother-in-law, Wayne were the two videographers. I can't wait to see the two videos edited together! I just hope they don't lose their weekends to videoing weddings! Our parents went along and so did my pastor. We had a great time. For our "rehersal dinner" (we didn't really have a rehersal just the dinner), we had a seafood buffet at Coco Joe's at our hotel. It was so good. For our reception, we had a seven course meal at Havana Blue, it was also very good. We didn't have a cake, but we had a desert sampler platter. Most of it was good, but I am a very picky desert eater! Matt and I got to the island on August 3rd and stayed until the 9th. Our families were there most of the time.

The island was beautiful. The beach was nothing like the beaches of South Texas, I actually wanted to get in the water. The people of the island were very nice, but they weren't going to let tourist make them speed up. They are just a very laid back people. They take their time doing everything. The "shopping district" downtown was just jewlery store after jewlery store! I loved it. I did get a nice ring while we were there. They also had lots of crystal and art shops. These were all on the main street. Then you could go down the side streets and find different stores. A lot of these stores were "name brand" stores, the kind you would find in malls, but some was local stuff. I did have a good time shopping and Matt went along and was a good sport about it.

We had a wonderful time. It was the type of wedding that fit us perfect! We are glad to be married and glad to be in our new house. I will try to post pictures of our wedding and of our house soon!
